What the court decidedThe model
Petition to Appoint Guardians ad Litem (ECF No. 1-2) is struck.
“Accordingly, the Court sua sponte STRIKES the Petition.”
agree with court
The order cites General Order No. 514, which explicitly requires the redaction of minor children's names in filings. The order notes that the petition contained the full name of the minor plaintiff. Striking the filing is a direct application of the stated local rule. The court also provides a mechanism for cure (refiling within seven days), which is a standard procedural remedy for such violations.

The order itself: sound — The order is procedurally sound. It identifies the specific violation (failure to redact minor's name), cites the governing local rule (General Order No. 514), and cites persuasive authority (Fotinos) supporting the court's power to strike such filings. The remedy (strike and allow refiling) is appropriate and standard.
